At Gordon Dental of Leawood we take a different approach to your dental implant care. We are skilled and equipped to do everything from start to finish in one place. That means you can have extractions done, implants placed, restoration made and set, and after-care completed by one doctor and one office. This not only improves your experience and overall dental implant success rate, but reduces costs, time and the number of appointments. As a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. Gordon has dedicated his career to implant dentistry and providing patients the latest in techniques and care. No matter if you are replacing a single missing tooth or full arch, we have outlined our entire dental implant process so from your initial consultation you know what to expect when choosing Dr. Gordon for your implant procedure.
The first step in the dental implant process is a free consultation to learn more about your unique needs and determine the best route for you. Dr. Gordon will explain the procedure in detail, answer any questions you have and create a customized treatment plan based on your needs. You will receive all the information you need to make a decision, including exact pricing for your new implants and restoration.
Once you make the decision to proceed with the dental implant procedure, we will schedule your pre-implant appointment. During this visit, we will get everything we need to complete your implant procedure, including models, x-rays, measurements, before-photos and scans. We will collect any data needed so we are ready to go once your implant procedure day arrives.
In one day, we can extract any teeth if needed and put your implants in place; this could be one or up to six if you are replacing a full arch. You will be on your way to your permanent new smile! Once your appointment is over, you will go home with implants and a temporary crown, denture or bridge that looks and functions naturally until your permanent restoration can be put in place.
After your dental implant procedure, your jaw bone will need time to heal and adhere to your new implants. For at least several weeks, most patients need to restrict their diet to soft foods that will not interrupt the healing process. As part of your procedure, we will ask you to come in to our office for several post-operative visits to monitor your healing process. These checkups are all included in the fee for your implants and will not cost you anything extra.
Today is the day you have been waiting for! Once your implants have completely healed and are stable, we can install your new crown, denture or bridge. We partner with the distinguished ROE Dental Laboratory for your restoration, to ensure natural-looking and high-quality new teeth. You will then leave our office with your beautiful, permanent smile.
